Friday July 22nd

An early start - we left at 7 for our morning game drive. Drove around for a couple of hours and then had our bush breakfast. There was a cook preparing made to order omelets. Will they ever stop blowing our minds???
Joel, our guide, was certain he spotted a lion so off we went. We drove for about 1.5 hours on very bumpy terrain to find this male lion. Jennie spotted it and then we eventually all saw her. It was very exciting and we felt we earned this sighting. Joel and Tim said this was not the lion they saw because it was a female. Once we found her she lost interest in hiding and then ended up just walking around in front of the jeep. Tim said she lost the game of hide and seek and then didn't care about exposing herself.

Our evening game drive was great as well. We came upon some cool skeletons that the kids checked out up close.

We saw a bull in must but he didn't find a female that he took a liking to so he moved on. Joel set up a perfect shot for us of the elephants with the sunset in the background.

Our favorite bird of the day was the sun bird
