Grandma stayed back at the lodge today. She says she wasn't feeling great but we all know it's because she was told we were going out to find animals being hunted down to watch them be killed. YUCK! Jen, Greer, and Cooper weren't out long before they saw a wildebeest being devoured by a group of nasty vultures who attack each other and hiss while they are eating. A hyena then came along and the all stepped away until he was done and then the second he left they literally leapt back onto the dead body. Cooper could have watched all day. The smell was atrocious so at one point Tim moved the jeep so we wouldn't be downwind. We then went to try and find a river crossing. While we didn't see the crossing we saw the remnants of one. There were about one hundred dead animals floating down the river. The wildebeest trample each other to death to get across the river - not too smart!
We needed to eat breakfast and Tim couldn't decide if we should eat before we saw all the dead animals - we voted for after.
We had another tailgate meal and then headed back towards Naibor.
We split up for our night drive because dad was desperate to see elephants one last time.
We saw our last African sunset which one can never tire of.
